My laptop is around 2 years old and now it did what i didnt expect to happen.
Laptop was running while I went to sleep and morning I noticed it was in sleep mode, what is normal because it was idling over night. Well I shake my mouse and heard fan started to spin but after few minutes when nothing happens I started to think yea this was it. It only gives me black screen nothing else. Thought before dead theory I thought it was bug what happened me sometimes when laptop goes sleep and when it opens it just give black screen (restarting helped me in this but not this time). restarted multiple times but always same think nothing happens...

This is totally new problem from me. Atleast I have had bios piiping that there is problem but not this time.
Only things what I can see are

    - two leds in sidepanel bottom power cable orange and blue are on.
    - wlan light is orange. What is usually always when I started laptop
    - and last think is caps lock key's light is flashing
    - fan is keeping "power saving" noice (uuuuu uuu uuuuu uuu uuuuu uuu) first come long blow and then comes little one.

I have take apart my laptop now, things I tried before posting this are: I used difference HDD but nothing. I plugged tv hdmi cable but nothing. I took rams away but nothing. Even if I have took all cables off expect power cable i get just that "power saving" fan noice. I have my thoughts about this but I might be totally wrong.

Is it motherboard what is failured? Or gpu or actually in screen? I dont know what are your thoughts about this?
Seems I have to go buy new laptop anyway because this has major damage in screen hud joint. But it doesnt in cable it is just in which keep hud open/ close.

Like I mention in title my laptop is: HP DV6 3050so
Worked almost perfectly pass two years until this.

Basically it is mainboard. Doesn't matter if it's GPU or chipset or whatever, they are all soldered on anyways.

How close to the two year magical mark is it? If it isn't too much over, contact your reseller.

Did you try to plug in an external monitor?

My dv6 3143 did this same thing for a while. It ended up being that the laptop didn't know the lid was being opened up and therefore the screen stayed off.
