    HP DV6 6100 CTO - HOT left armrest 'solution' (!?)

    So about a week ago, my notebook's left armrest (the area to left of the touchpad) become unusually HOT even in idle mode... i tried everything from switching to Coolest mode, pull out the plug and let it run on batt. but still nothing. I have to mention that it wasnt that hot before.
    The only thing i could think of is something happened to the hard drive. Gladly it's not that.
    Finally i noticed that i had left the memory card in the reader the whole week. Pulled it out... miracle.... It's cool again :eek:
    Sounds stupid but maybe everything can be hot on HP laptop LOL

    I dont really see how the memory card was doing anything...
    Try putting in the memory card again and checking.

    maybe with the mem.card in, it tries to read every now and then making the reader become hot i dont know but it's really there :D
