I've noticed that for the last week, my wireless connectivity dropped twice and could not reconnect. I performed router triage and no other device had an issue connecting except the computer, removed NIC from Device Manager, rebooted. The wireless access point was showing but when I tried to connect, Windows 8 said it could not connect. Then, after 30 minutes around for both times, the Wireless worked and connected.

So, that's the backstory. I decided to get a software problem out of the way if it is one and I decided to Reset Windows 8. Missing source files. So, I made a Windows 8 USB bootable device and Windows 8 was now able to reset.

Fast forward to last night after it's all done, wireless issue not happening(Was intermitten anyways as it only went down twice) but now, I'm noticing 2 unknown devices as well as Catalyst mobility drivers from AMD.COM which worked fine before now come up(When I run the verification tool) that I don't have AMD hardware/software. HP drivers work fine but they're so old.

I decided to once again reset Windows, needed to use the Source media on the USB again. Makes me think the Windows 8 image is corrupt on the hard drive. I'll see how it is today when I get home.

My question is. If I decide to use the HP Factory image on one of the partitions to install Windows 7 again then use my install key and download Windows 8 and install again, would that be a good idea? I'm thinking something's wrong with the Windows 8 installation and of course I've thought about a hardware problem too. I still have another month warranty I think. ( I originally installed Windows 8 days after it launched)
