Hello. I 'm trying to replace a damaged screen in my DV6 -3134. I cannot see how to get access to the 2 screws on the bottom of the bezel. The lap top does not open far enough so you can get a driver on them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You'll have to be more specific. I see different models of the DV6-3134 like the ca & the tx. Furthermore, HP usually provides the service/maintenance manuals for their notebooks that tell you exactly how to disassemble them. You should check HP's site for your NB's manual. It should be in PDF format and you should be able to scroll down towards the bottom where it shows how to dismantle the entire unit.

Off of the top of my head with as many notebooks I have taken apart, the bezel on most notebooks have different screw points. Although that is obvious, some don't even have screws. You should check underneath the battery where there may be a few or more very small screws there. There also may be screws on the back of the bezel where the hinges are. Those will be located on the very back right on the rounded off parts where it is supposed to hide the hinges & wires for the LCD screen. They can also be underneath the keyboard, too. Remove your keyboard and check for screws holding it down there. Some HP units like mine will have two or more screws holding down the keyboard from underneath the notebook and several clips holding the keyboard down to the bezel which will loosen if you use a screwdriver and pry them backwards towards the front of the NB.

Thanks for the reply. The lap top is a the CA version, the instruction I instruction I have seen is only for a generic DV6. Could you send me the link to the site . Thanks
