Hi, anyone know if HP have an issue with hibernate on the Pavilion DV6000 range. My DV6190 went into hibernate whilst in use and wont now switch on. I get flashing leds and momentary fan and cd drive access then switches off for a second then repeats the cycle. Tried powering from mains only, battery only, reseating memory and HD (both plug in underneath). Also tried other ideas from other hibernation listings on other makes of laptops such as holding power switch down for 30secs with no mains or battery to discharde caps on pcb etc but nothing works.

Anyone have any experience with this problem that can advise. I cant help think there is an easy answer to this once up and running such as switching hibernation off. Just need to get it up and running first.

Many thanks for any help given.

Did you put the system in hibernation or did it went in hibernation by itself? The problem could be with the hardware. DO you have recovery discs? You can try toboot using that.

Hi gaanee, no the laptop hibernated itself because of lack of use (on phone at time). Recovery disc doesnt work, it doesnt seem to access drive properly. Seems stuck in a loop, tried flatening the battery overnight again by leaving switched on but this hasnt worked this time, did last time this happened, trying to charge battery fully now to see if this makes a difference.

I dont know if disconnecting all power including internal battery will reset it or not.

    Thanks for ideas.
