    HP DV6000 wireless switch disable

    I'm fixing a DV6000 for a friend, basically the wireless switch is disabling the wireless even when it's switched to the on position. I remember reading about a registry hack that can disable the switch, but I can't find it now. If anyone has the link, please reply. Thanks.

    Can put cellophane tape over pin 20 to permanently enable the wifi radio.

    Thanks for the reply. But I want it to be permanetly enabled, not disabled. So far I found that if I restart the laptop with the switch off, then switch it back on when th e laptop is booted, it works.

    pin20 is W_DISABLE. When you cellophane tape it, it enables the wifi permanently.
