I have the same issue.
I reinstalled vista to eliminate some bugs that developed, and now I cannot access the bluetooth stuff at all. It is not in the mobility center, control panel, and the hp update says there is no detected bluetooth device. The other thing i have noticed is when i check out the device manager, under coprocessor, there is something not working properly.
Any ideas how to get the bluetooth to work again? -
The HP/Widdcom bluetooth drivers that HP provides are among the worst I've seen. It's better if you install the Microsoft Bluetooth Drivers instead: Removing the HP Bluetooth Software and Installing the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack
You might want to set a recovery point before you do this, in case you make a mistake.
