This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     HP DV6000T notebook code #1-07 on harddrive diagnosis

    On booting up the laptop and starting the hard drive diagnostics it will not go into the long one, just pops up with message 'a disc read error occurred'. I then pressed control alt delete to restart and it goes to bios screen. Then I pressed F10 repeatedly and it enters self diagnostics and then sends a "#1-07 failed code error". Please direct me to similar thread or advise what I can do to fix. Thanks.
