I noticed on the side that there is something called the 'Expansion Port 3'. I was just wondering what this is for since I am not that computer savvy. Thanks.

It is for the expansion bases:

    - xb3000
    - QuickDock

The docking stations are decent. I have an older one that was for 'Expansion Port 2' laptops. The port basically can carry data for networking, USB, audio, video-out and more.
