The specification says that the shared video RAM can be up to 288 MB. However, in the BIOS, I could change it to a max of 128 MB. Am I missing something? Please let me know how I can check what is the shared video RAM size. Thanks.

Bios may be just displaying shared ram and not the dedicated. Or visa versa.

I checked with their tech service people. My BIOS is correct. Because I have a 1GB RAM, I can change the setting up to 128 MB. If I install 2 GB RAM, then BIOS would let me change it up to 288 MB as in the spec. Nothing is wrong with the BIOS.

That is not the case with this laptop. I too purchased one recently and have already put 2GB of ram in here. No change in the BIOS for the share memory. Increasing the shared memory above 128MB won't make much of a difference anyway. This is no gaming laptop and Vista runs fine with the 128MB share, heck even 64MB ran fine.
As for being able to use 288mb I see nothing in the BIOS or Vista that allows a change to that size.
