    I'm almost buying a simple notebook, to replace my old desktop, but I'm having some doubts about the processor type.

    The models are:
    1) HP Pavilion dv6707us
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01296330&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3648475

    2)HP Pavilion dv6636nr

    As you can see they are almost equal. The main diference is the shared memory and the processor. This last is my major doubt.

    What the better? The Athlon 64 X2 TK-57 or the Turion 64 X2 TL-58?
    I'm looking for performance...

    Thanks in advance...

    58 = 57 + x
    58 - 57 = x
    1 = x
    therefore
    58 > 57

    The amount of shared memory doesnt really influence anything considering they have the same GPU. As far as the CPU is concerned both are pretty similar but the Turion will be faster considering it has txice as much cache as the Athlon.
