Anyone know when the drivers for the dv6700t coming out? Guess they're the same as the ones from the dv6500t series is that right? My dv6700t's coming sometime next week.

Vista. Not expecting drivers for XP for this series at all. I think HP and Microsoft are keeping people from going back. Hopefully by next month.

Drivers are the same. Barely anything changed for the x7xx series.

Does that mean I could also update the BIOS on the dv6700t with the one from the dv6500t series?

www.hp.com/support. Drivers are required for hardware to work, and it is recommended to keep them up to date. As for the BIOS thing, I don't know, but most likely yes, though it will need a guinea pig to confirm (you?).

Thanks. So for the video card drivers, would it be best to stick with HP, the brand of your laptop?
Btw why do you need to update the BIOS? Sorry if this is obvious, but i don't recall ever updating the BIOS on my desktop computer.
