Anyone here successfully had the audio stream to the TV instead of playing on the laptop? I've gotten it to work like twice and it seems I can never get it to play off the TV. Just seeing if anyone has been able to get it to work every time.

Have you right-clicked on the speaker icon in the notification area and clicked on "playback devices"? I know that on my Toshiba (Realtek audio), I have 3 options: Speakers, the 3.5mm optical output, and HDMI. If you have the HDMI audio option in that menu, make sure it is selected as the playback device and that it is then outputting the right type of digital audio format to your television.

I just updated the drivers and when I right click and go to playback devices it just gives me Digital Output Device (SPDIF). Before hand it said something like High Definition Output. I don't see anything for HDMI. I have an onboard realtek card as well.
When I go to test DTS Audio, Dolby Digital, and WMA the only that plays is Dolby Digital.
I just don't get why it worked a couple times and now it doesn't. -
Ok now I went back and updated the drivers and it shows Realtek Digital Output. When I updated from the HP website it had some Microsoft HD Audio and then I updated that driver and went back to the way it was before.

WTF now it is working. Hopefully I can keep making it work.

lol sounds like the HP webcam drivers when I had a dv6000z - webcam worked for a few times, then suddenly died. Had to reinstall the driver like every week.
Well, hope your HDMI audio keeps working. I guess if it breaks again then reinstall the driver again.
