    Hi everyone,
I plan to downgrade DV6802AX from Vista to Win XP black edition SP3. Did somebody do this on this HP model?
I've downloaded some drivers from official HP site, but it's only for some of them. Does somebody have xp drivers for them? And should i use drivers for devices from other hp laptops or for vista, or it will affect system badly?

I think to format C (fast or full?), then to install XP from scratch. On this model will BIOS find HDD, DVD-rom and USB host automaticaly,or i need to change smth in it?
Also as i understood i need 1 driver for 1 device, although, for example bluetooth does diffrent task, and i need install diffrent drivers for all operations?
Is it possible to activate remote control device and quick play and video ports in XP OS in this laptop?

    Thanks for help.

Can somebody help with xp drivers:

    NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
RICOH OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP
Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN - From official site programm:auto drivers search doesn't suite.
    Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221
    HP Remote Control HID Device
    NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

Also at device manager there are SM Bus Controller, Coprocessor and HP Integrated module - what's that? Is there any xp drivers for these devices?

SM Bus Controller & Coprocessor - These are components on your chipset. You should have the nforce 630m chipset. Did you install the chipset drivers? If not check this thread for more info on how to install the drivers. Make sure you search the web before trying it out since newer drivers might have come out since the time the thread was created which might work better...

The HP integrated module should be the HP bluetooth. Again make sure you have the correct bluetooth drivers installed. If you have bluetooth installed or if the system doesnt ship with bluetooth then it might be HP quick launch buttons.

if you don't know what those are you shouldn't be trying to downgrade to XP. As much as I would like to do that as well, it just doesn't work most of the time.

Yeah, XP was fast and easy, and only 4-5 gb, instead of 20 :(
I haven't found half of the drivers so i re-installed vista again :(

Camera and sd cards worked properly without any drivers, and Geforse competible driver too, but sound ones from other dv6800s models didn't fix, as well as bluetooth, quick play 2.3.
How do you think is it worth make dual booting, or not? I'm afraid that there will be errors in work of some devices, won't they...
