Similar to the post recent added about the DV6t, I found two similar models of HP DV6t laptop at Newegg.

    HP Pavilion DV6-1362NR
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157061

    HP Pavilion DV6-2144NR
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157046

Both are the same price however they differ a bit in specs.
    The differences between are:
    1. Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz (1362NR) VS AMD Turion II M520 2.3GHz (2144NR)
    2. 4GB DDR3 (1362NR) VS 4GB DDR2 (2144NR)

Which laptop is in a way "better"?
or if you can't compare these two in that way what are the pros and cons between the two differences?

the Intel is probably a little quicker and maybe runs a little cooler. Other than that though, I have not seen anything solid on the new Caspian Turion IIs apparently they have a K10 core so they could be pretty competitive with the Intel T6600 which is a little bit dated. I'm happy with my dv6, some people arn't but a lot of the problems I have heard of were with the early ones that had Nvidia 9600M GT graphics which run hot in them from what I heard.

If I were you, I would definitely go with the 1362, without any hesitation

i would have to say the processor in the 1362 is better or equal to the 2144, and the RAM in the 1362 is definitely better

the 1362 is better but if u want ur ram to run at 1066MHz get a new 1066 Mhz Peryen CPU... T6600 is a old memron one...

Actually its not, the T6600 is based off of the Penryn 3m Core @ 45nm but only has 2mb of L2 Cache, merom was built at the 65nm. Your thinking of the old T5800s that were Merom. Compared to the M520 though it still has twice the L2 Cache. Like I said earlier I have not seen any solid benchmarks on the Turion IIs yet but it wouldn't surprise if the Intel is still better.

    Thanks for the answers!
I'll stick with the 1362NR laptop when buying between these two.

    Have a great day!
