I ordered the DV6T 15.6 inch laptop with the following configuration and wanted to know if I got a good deal. I ended up paying $978.22 including tax and free shipping. Did I get a good deal or could I have done better. Thanks!

    Hello All Members,
As indicates on Replacement Authorization Form that I received, the final day to mail my TX1410US to them as 07/18/2011 in order for any exchange. My question is what do we do now? Thank you and have a great weekend.

I paid more than that with just a couple more options--it was over $1,250 and I had a discount of $375. Dunno how u got it so cheap, but awesome for you!

i got 2GB memory on the GPU, Blu ray (was free upgrade), HD screen,

Whoa!! U got a backlit keyboard???? I couldn't even get that when I ordered, less than 2 weeks ago. (I have since returned mine due to lack of it ever switching to the Radeon graphics card despite HP's efforts, and mine)

and how about sharing just HOW you got such a low price.

EDIT: never mind==you didn't get a Quad core, did you? Mine was a quad.

You really should've upgraded the GPU. It makes a world of difference (in anything that uses 3D) for only $25 more.

he has the dv6t-4000 series. it is not the newest version of dv6 - no USB 3.0, no 6770m, no 1080p screen option, no beats audio, no num pad. instead it has the option of the backlit keyboard and touch screen.

Of course it's quite a nice deal, but you can nearly always get a better one if you are lucky. the majority of people got very good deals on this forum due to various reasons. I've got a decent deal:

but there are always better deals...

the point is to find your self a good deal - ask yourself, is this worth what i have paid? and could I have gotten more with my money? (i.e. not can other people get more with the same amount money)
