I own a HP DV7 Quad, and have IDT High Definition Audio CODEC v6.10.6263.0.
I noticed ever since I got this laptop in the beginning of January (before updating to the latest drivers), that the IDT high definition Audio CODEC does not remember my mute settings. This is intermittent, and seems to happen most often when I close my laptop, and it goes to sleep/hibernate. If I leave it for a few hours, and then come back and wake the computer up again, the speaker is no longer muted, and the volume is at a level I didn't set it at (a few notches up above 0). Even after updating to the latest drivers, this problem still persists.
I have tried to mute this from every different way - the mute button at the top of the keyboard, muting via the IDT High Definition Audio control board (muting the Master itself), and muting via the speaker icon at the bottom of the windows task bar, and none stick.
Again, this is intermittent - if i try to mute, then immediately hibernate and wake it back up, the mute sticks. But if I mute and hibernate, but come back after a while, the mute usually doesn't stick.
Has anyone else had this issue? And if so, how did they fix it?
Thanks

I had to roll back to 6.10.6265.0 which works fine. Hope that helps.
