This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I am in market of 17" notebook and lean towards DV7 for its overall package with strong 9600GT and eSATA, yet I always wish for a full 1080p 1920x1200 WUXGA screen of 200nits+ & DDR3 Ram which Samsung and the upcoming Lenovo will provide.

    1) How do you value these extras and any chance these upgrades will be available for HP in near future? 2) And what about the cooling of the big HP compared with the others? Any comments are welcome.
