i want to purchase a dv 7 1080( dutch modelnumber) with the following specs
Intel® Core 2 Duo P8400
500GB Harddisk
4GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia geforce 9600GT 512MB
Blu-ray ROM met SuperMulti dvd±r/rw duallayer
Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN
17-inch WXGA+ high-definition BrightView 1440x900
How will this laptop perform and how is it's durability?

It is made by Compal, not HP so it is not the highest quality per se (it is like a Honda Accord instead of BMW) however specs wise, it is great overall and does run relatively cool so I don't see why it should go bad anytime soon. Personally, I love this notebook overall.

Compal is a separate company based in Taiwan. They have made laptops for companies such as Dell, Toshiba and HP. I am pretty sure this laptop is made by HP.
