I was playing around with my dv8000t and noticing some of its many slots. My eyes caught the Digital Media area of the laptop which is on the lower lefthand side. As I probed the area a black tab popped out, which allowed me to push out the hp protective plastic inside. However, now I cannot get that black tab to stay INSIDE. It sticks out and my forearm usually hits it once or twice anytime I type. I feel like i've opened up pandora's box, because I am highly frustated with this tab. Is there anyway I can push this tab back in and have it remain inside. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I had the same problem the first day I got my 8000t. Pull the plastic guard all the way out then you can click the black button all the way back in like it was before. Then just put the plastic guard back in the slot. Hope this is what you are looking for.
