I want my cell phone infrared to speak to the infrared port on my laptop so I can send pictures to my computer. My cell phone has the infrared port enabled. Supposedly, this laptop has the infrared port in the front of it on the left hand side. when I did a system information and look at components , it lists infrared but when you highlight it, nothing shows up on the right side where item and value is. Does this mean that the infrared is not enabled on the computer? How do I enable it? Does anyone know how I can get my cell phone to speak to my laptop. One of the many reasons I bought this laptop was that it had a infrared device on it for communications. It does not appear to be acting as a port. I know very little about using this so could someone speak in my language "moron" to me so I could understand what to do to get it working. Thanks in advance.

It's consumer infra red port, which means it will only work with a remote. This is not a real IR port
