    Hey all,

If this has already been covered, then accept my apologies for starting a new thread.. I have tried searching for a solution within this forum and couldn't find one!

Since re-installing Windows on my laptop, I've not been able to make the LED backlight behind the 'mute' button turn on when the sound is muted.. I've tried re-flashing the BIOS, installing the QuickLaunch software, installing the audio drivers etc etc.. I'm no novice when it comes to setting up drivers! But I just cannot find a solution for this.

Is there a solution? The problem existed ever since I re-installed XP on the laptop when I bought it back in September 2006. I'm using Vista Ultimate now, in case the solution is different depending on OS..

I've put up with it for too long now, I want my laptop to work as it should be!

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)
