I am posting a new thread on this topic because I can't find any newer updated threads for this issue. I have errant keyboard problems, after replacing the keyboard 2 times on my DV9000 Intel based HP. Certain keys work, and others do not. The only "positive" results in replacing the keyboard has been that there are less keys that have problems than previously. And, the first keyboard not only had keys that wouldn't show up on the screen when struck, but also other keys when struck would produce 3 or more characters all at the same time. That problem has resolved with a different keyboard.

I have contacted HP, and they gave me all the troubleshooting points which all have been tried. Before going down the motherboard replacement route, I was wondering if I tried replacement the system memory, if that would help. Does anyone think that faulty memory could cause keyboard problems?

I also wanted to add here that when I hook up an external USB keyboard, that works perfectly. Thanks for any help you can provide.
