Hi,
I have a HP DV9005US Laptop, which was bought in Nov. 2006. The Laptop looks good aesthetically but has lot of issues with the Laptop like non-working USB Ports, Webcam, WIFI. Looks like the issue is with Motherboard. Even the CD Drive is broken.
Took the Laptop to local Retail Stores like Best Buy,Office Depot etc. but they were quoting repair costs of around $400, which looks too expensive.
Can I buy some parts in reliable online sites for cheaper price?
Please advise what would be the ideal way to restore the Laptop to working condition.

Sid have you ownedthis laptop since 2006 if not whats the history on it ie: has it been dropped, was the drive working when you had it etc etc etc.
Part you can nearly always find on ebay or just Google it for parts.
In some cases it cheaper to obtain a donor laptop of the same series working or non working. If you can find the HP part numbers for each component that you need it can save a lot of time.

Just get a new laptop. You could get a decent one for the price of reparing it.
