Hi,
How do I disable the feature where when the Num Lock is activated it makes some letters be numbers. I have a separate number pad with this laptop so this feature is annoying and un-needed.
It never use to be like this, only started a few weeks ago.
My prt sc key does not work either, I have tried it with the FN key, shift + ctrl![]()
Can anybody help please?
Thanks a lot,
Stephen

do any of the other keys that require you to press fn work?
-
Yes, the FN keys for brightness control work fine.
Thanks!! -
what program are you pasting the printscreened image into?
its probably not a keyboard problem since fn works for other things
also, does the printscreen key work without the fn (as the home key)? -
Paint.
Without the FN key when I press it, it takes me to the top of the page.
Do you know why they letters input numbers??
Thanks,
Stephen -
the letters are inputting numbers because that is a feature of the keyboard
i think theres no other way to stop it other than to disable numlock
i cant think of any reason why print screen though, you may want to replace the keyboard if you are still under warranty -
Hi,
Just spoken to who repaired this laptop.
They said that they forgot to do a DMI Update, so that's why the keys are not working. They said it has to be sent in again.
Any other way to fix this??
Thanks
