Hi, please have mercy on me, for I am but a noob.

So, all of my computers are full disc encrypted with Drive Crypt Plus Pack (DCPP). Been using it for a while without issue. I got my shiny new dv9500 and set it all up, spending hours upon hours removing all the crap bloatware and installing all of my software. Then I installed DCPP without incident. Enabled bootauth and restarted. Couldn't get in... Securstar the maker of DCPP tells me that HP has some kind of Master Boot Record protection that trashed my boot record and any chance of ever recovering my system. I was able to recover from the recovery partition drive since I only encrypted C drive.
Is there any way to run DCPP on this machine? Sorry, again. I really am not very savvy about this stuff, I can usually make things work the way I want though, but not this time. HELP

did you create the recovery discs? if not then do so and delete the whole drive from all partitions and try it like that.

You would probably have to get a copy of Vista and using your key, reinstall it on a single drive/partition or something and see if it works like that.

i dont see how HP could have such a system as these are consumer laptops, the business models might but i doubt these will
