It's prolly a driver thing. But why are you freaking out over your memory? It's not like it disappeared after you installed XP. Whatever memory you had before, it's still there.

Also, because this is an integrated card, the memory is all shared, so it changes. Plus, amount of memory doesn't mean much, especially in integrated cards. So you will not lose any performance from this.

really ? i tought if windows tought i had 128mb, it would only manage 128mb.. so in that case it would be laggy as hell in game that require lets say 256mb :\

you sure about that information ?

Yes I'm sure. The game requires 256, but that doesn't mean it won't run on less. That game will run laggy as hell whether you have 32mb or 384mb of shared ram. It's not the ram that counts, is the power of your gpu.

And since this is a weak integrated gpu, ram amount won't make a difference. You can be playing with 64mb or 384mb and you won't tell the difference between the two.

So stop worrying about your IGP ram amount. Not only does it not matter, but the IGP will take more memory when gaming vs when not gaming, that's why you see less ram now. But when it needs the ram, it will take it aka gaming. Not that it will make any difference tho.

Onboard video cards have always sucked for gaming, did you ask around here about it before you bought it? Gaming is a very subjective term with hardware manufacturers, to them gaming is pogo style games (which suck). If you want to play modern games you need a dedicated video card such as the 8400 or 8600. Really at this point there isnt anything you can do to make it work for your gaming needs. Laptops are not made to be upgradeable like desktop units so you cant buy a card and install it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
