I didn't get a "user guide" in the box; I searched online for the so-called "user guide" and it is MIA:

    Manuals

Anyone have it in .pdf form? I never read them, but the "Check User Guide for prolonging the use of your battery" warning on the battery is a worthwhile read. ;) I'd like to hear what they have to say....

    Did everyone else receive one?

I just got mine today and there was no User Guide in the box. There was a 'Quick Reference Guide' but it did not give any information about prolonging the use of my battery.

Well I dont know about the user guide(have you tried calling HP tech/CS support and asking them?) but NBR has some guides/articles that you could help:

    Battery Guide
How To Improve Notebook Battery Life
