    Hi Everyone,

I just got my DV9700T at the end of last week and almost instantly noticed a dead pixel on the left side of the screen. It's fairly close to the edge so nothing major. Although, my eyes just keep looking at because I know it's there, of course.

However, today I noticed there's a dark spot on the very edge of the screen...like a lamp is out but not really. It's hard to explain because the screen does not have a huge dark section. I have to be leaned forward (like when typing) to see this 3/4 an inch long black line going up the side of the screen on the outer edge.

I'm not trying to be picky but since the dead pixel is so close to it and there is blackness on the outer edge of the screen (still only viewable when leaning forward), I'm wondering if this could become a bigger problem down the road.

Any experience or advice with this issue?

Get it replaced while you still can.

    Thanks for the help.

Out of curiosity, which one is the bigger problem -- the darkness on the side, the dead pixel or are they somehow related?
