    I own the Vostro 1700 and the DV9700T so I've created a little write-up with lots of pics of the two systems side-by-side. NBR Admin Andrew suggested I post a link to it here in the HP forum:

    I love both of these laptops so it's not "Dell's great" / "HP sucks" or vice versa. It's simply my user experience with them both. So if you're considering one of these laptops, I hope these comparisons will help you make a decision!
