OS: Reformat VISTA to XP SP2 using slipstream cd.

    Device Manager Problem:
IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller - RICOH MMC HOST CONTROLLER
    Other Device - ETHERNET CONTROLLER
    Other Device - UNKNOWN

Can anybody help me find the drivers for these?
Tried searching HP website and Google but no luck.

NVIDIA GEFORCE 8600M GS - 6.14.11.5655 (Is this the latest updated driver for this pc)

    Computer window screen still lags.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first one is your media card reader. Try looking for something like that.

The second one is your LAN. It's hard to say what exactly you have since there are several manufacturers but again, look under HP's site and find the device name and search Google for some XP drivers of it.

The 'Unknown' one is hard to tell.

For the latest Nvidia drivers, check out laptopvideo2go.com/forum. You can read more about it in the Gaming section in this forum.

I tried uninstalling the devices and letting XP find it when reboot.
    Ethernet Controller is now fix.

Ricoh MMC host controller was found too and installed, but still a problem.

I really do not use the media card on my PC, my biggest concern is the WINDOW LAG I still get after reformatting my PC VISTA to Window XP.

PC is an Intel Core Duo [email protected] with 3GB RAM
as compared to my older dell laptop with only 1GB ram it still lags.

Any opinions on what the problem is?

    Thanks again.
