I know this site is primarily dedicated to laptops, but I don't know where else to turn. I've been searching Google for desktop coupons and can't seem to come up with any. I can find all of the laptop coupons, which leads me to believe there might just not be any desktop coupons. I've thought about ordering everything from Newegg and building it myself, but I just don't want to. I've always built my own computers, but this time, I just don't feel like it. I'm not looking for the "be all end all" rig anyway. I'm turning to HP because I've had great success with their products in the past. Granted, I've never bought one of their fully assembled desktops or laptops. I still believe HP builds a quality product.

On a side note, my fiance is ordering an HP laptop as well. We were going to utilize the $400 off of a $1199 purchase coupon, but it seems HP is no longer accepting it. How often do the laptop coupons come out? We don't want to spend $1000+ only to find out a week later that we could have saved $200-$300.

I haven't looked on slickdeals, but I've been a member of fatwallet for a while. It seems as though there aren't any desktop coupons out at the moment. Every hit I get, it's for HP laptop, camera, and TV coupons with no mention of desktops aside from a $299 link that takes me to a $329 computer that I'm not even interested in, lol.

I just thought it might be worth a shot to see if anyone on here knew of a super secret place to get info on current or near future coupons. Until then, I'll just play the waiting game to see what comes up.

Yeah.. um... there was a $500 deal for 1399+ notebooks that was quickly exhausted. On January 8, HP released the $400 deal on 1199+ notebooks. January 8 was the day that the $500 was set to expire. So I'd just wait until the $400 deal is set to expire, which is the 21st or 22nd. HP should have another sweet coupon then. Just be patient like me. There will ALWAYS be another coupon to be had, provided you wait for it to come up. There are none right now. Just search Google on the 21st and every day for 1 week after that, and you'll likely find one.

What query are you using? I used [hp dv9700t] and [hp coupon].

I ran several different searches including:

    "HP laptop coupon"
    "HP laptop promo codes"
    "HP desktop coupons"
    "HP desktop promo codes"

I was actually more concerned with finding a desktop code because I know the laptop codes pop up fairly often. After reviewing what HP has to offer in terms of graphics, processors, ram, etc. for their desktops, I've decided to just build it from Newegg. The laptop, however, will be ordered from HP sometime within the next couple of weeks. If a good coupon code doesn't turn up by the 28th, then we'll probably just order it without a code. I've read that HP will sometimes give credit back to your account if a new code comes out shortly after your purchase. I've also read that they sometimes require you to send your laptop back and re-purchase it with the code. As a business major, I see a problem with their practices there, lol.

    Thanks for the help everyone.
