    Hello,

I had locked my internal drive using the HP Drivelock feature in the bios. Now I have exchanged the internal drive with a new drive (also locked), but I have forgotten to copy some data.
I connected the old internal drive as an external with usb 2.0 but since it is locked I can't access the drive. Is there anyway in windows to unlock it? I know the password it was locked with of course. So no hacking just a program I can use to enter my password and access the drive.

Plan B is to connect the old internal as the internal drive again and unlock it in the password. This is a real hassle as the windows on the old drive was blue screening....

    Thanks for any help.

To answer my own question for anybody who might find this via search:

There is no way to unlock a drive locked by HP Drivelock except by the bios. You can use an HP computer that has a bios that supports HP Drivelock.

I used a HP Desktop and it worked. It does not need to be the boot drive but needs to be connected by sata. USB doesnt work.
