    Hello guys and girls :)

I'm having a problem with my two year old HP DV4-1435dx. It was always working fine until a few days ago, the screen started jumping up and down slightly (looks like it blinks quickly at the same time) after sleep mode. I wanted to make sure what it could be before I take the solutions I found on other forums that said that the cable or wire inside the laptop may be loose (which they said is unlikely) or the video card is faulty (which would suck...) I already have the latest drivers.

Anyway, even though the jumping and blinking lasts for a few minutes after sleep mode, it does give me a headache looking at it. And I don't want to ignore this problem (like other people suggested if it's "minor") because I really don't want a blinking/jumping screen for even a minute.

I just want to know the issue, fix it and have a working laptop because I'm tired of having computer problems. I'm not too knowledgeable with these things so it makes it much more annoying.

    Here are some specifications:
    Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) SP1
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.10 ghz
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

    Thank you very much! :D

There are very few reports of Intel GPUs failing. That's likely because they are so slow that they don't heat up much at all. Are you sure your problem isn't of a software nature? Sleep mode can be upset by a vast variety of things.

Try booting from a Linux CD. If the computer has no problem going to sleep and waking up from that, it's likely Windows reinstall time.
