This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     HP Dv4000 random shutdown not related to heat issues

    my HP pavillion dv4000 series computer started to shutdown on its own for no reason at all. I figured out that the problem is not heat, nor AC power, nor battery. This defect occured twice in the first 8 months so i didn't really think it was a problem. And recently the computer will not stay on for more than 10 minutes even if I turn it on when it is completely cooled down. As I see this defect is very common among dv4000 products, and I'd like to know if HP has done anything about this or anyone has solved this problem by other means.
