So I've been trying to fix that ed orange mute button for some time now and I realized that if I used the latest drivers, the mute button would change colors. But the issue with the newest drivers is that the stacsv.exe file that comes with it runs my cpu at 50% all the time for some reason. Is there another fix to the orange mute button? Or another version of the IDT drivers I can use? The older drivers on the hp site do not seem to change the color of the mute button.

the button is touch sensitive. touch the mute symbol. it might not even be the IDT audio thats causing the problem: update your quick touch/launch drivers from the HP site.

orange is muted, white is unmuted.

Every now and then my mute button stays orange but the sound is not muted. I don't have the 50% cpu usage though. When I reset it's fine. I don't use any of the quicklaunch or quickplay software (it's too buggy) and it all works except for the quick play button. Using latest IDT software. Maybe try uninstalling quickplay and quicklaunch and see what happens if pressing the mute button doesn't work.
