Hi i have the dv6 quad version and the audio is pretty terrible. It is loud but it sunds very tinny. Compared to my brother's dv600 from three years ago, this is definitely worse. I also have the beats audio logo by the way.
Also, how do i check the specs on my machine? Is there a program that shows my cpu, gpu and all that stuff?
Aside fron the speakers, very pleased with my purchase.

The speakers are average. They are nice and loud though. If you wanted good laptop audio dell xps is probably what you shouldve looked into. But plugging a good pair of headphones into the dv6 makes listening 10x better O.O. Idk if its beats or what, but the sound quality just sounds much better.

Also use HWinfo to see your hardware.

definitly the hp dv6tqe has at most an average speakers, I find my three years hp dv5 is better sound quality (not louder but clearer sound).

I have dv6-6030EJ and the sound is definitely above average. It's loud, crisp and sounds deep. One of the best laptop speakers actually except when it comes to heavy metal tracks, but that's quite understandable. Trust me i owned and tried a lot of laptops.

I had to go into the beats audio control panel and under listening experience I put Bass, Center, and Space on maximum and kept Focus and Def. half way to make the speakers bearable.
