So I have done some searching in this forum and cannot find a clear solution to do the following on my Dv6tqe as on my old Dell laptop:

    1. Wipe the HDD
    2. Create 2 partitions
    3. Install Win 7 with SP1 on the first partition
    4. Have all the drivers (minus bloatware) included on the installation DVD

    Also, about the recovery partition:
Would it be affected if I split C into an equal size C and D?
Would it then be labeled E?
Would I be able to restore from the recovery to C after the size of C has changed?
Can I modify the recovery to bloat free and still be usable?

Thanks in advance for help and the right links.

Noticed a lot of views but no responses thus far.

I mainly am concerned with the wipe because I don't want to lose the recovery partition's ability to restore the computer to a factory state.

However, I am wondering if that factory recovery partition can be modified to be bloat-free.

Anybody with any luck out there? I've seen multiple posts about doing the wipe and reinstall with a fresh copy, but no comments on the recovery being still functional.
