ditto, just got the email
-
Any details on the Radiance display?
Whats the Color Gamut?
Is it IPS?
How does it compare with the Envy 14 radiance? -
Huray, I'm soon to have an Envy too. Estimated ship date: Dec 29th.
-
Could someone here update me on how much heat is emitted compared to the old HP envy? Cause it would sure make me a HP Envy owner.
-
en route from Chinatown...
edit: now in Alaska -
I've got two coming, as HP couldn't cancel one of them quickly enough >.<
One in Anchorage, AK...one still in China, which is strange as they were ordered within 2 minutes of one another. -
Aw man I am so jealous. This Envy 14... meh... 720p screen, weakish backlit keyboard, only 59 Whr battery, AMD 6330m... meh.
-
Was really looking at this machine to be my replacement for my current laptop, but did they really just not add a blu-ray drive as an option? It's not a deal-breaker, I'll probably still get it but, just a minor disappointment
-
I wish there was an option to not have a dvd or bluray drive. I really have no use for those things.
-
ditto; optical drives are soooo 2005.
who even uses blu ray? -
-
I'm typing this from my new Envy 15, absolutely love this thing... now if only i could figure out how to turn the fan down a bit...
-
is it really a problem?
with the 14s it would go on and off all the time but it was never LOUD or anything -
-
also, the hp tech i'm chatting with tried telling me i had two bad fan bearings, then told me to just use it on a battery and not plugged in, then asked me if my computer had a removable battery.. this tech doesn't even know what laptop i'm using, how is she trying to help with this.

i got the i7-2670, 500gb hard drive, 1080p screen, 8gb 1600 mhz ram. i can't compare this to the other envy because i've never used it -
I am now typing with Latest Envy15, it is great. No such fan noise and cooling, no temperature problem.
-
The fan is acceptable at all, not suggest change the setting in BIOS(current setting is fan always on), current setting will be good for heat emit.
-
To make your Fan speed slow, you can try bellow 2 settings:
1. In BIOS, set fan always on enable>disable or
2. In system tray, to set HP Cool sense from On>off
Not suggest you do above setting, it will be not good for heat emit, you can do this if your fan is really make you unhappy -
