Hi,
For those who originally ordered an HP Envy 15 with a SSD, which generation of Intel SSD did you guys/gals receive? I browsed online and i found some people saying that it is a G2 second generation Intel SSD and other sources say that they received a G1 first generation Intel SSD. My question is, did HP ship out first generation of Intel SSDs in the beginning and started shipping out the second generation later (maybe during the refresh of the Envy15 v2) ? What Intel SSD did you receive?
Thanks!

I believe I'm in the minority here and was unlucky. I bought my Envy 15 on early July 2010 and it's definitely a Gen 2. But I got hosed with a Gen 1 160GB Intel SSD. I called HP and they said they won't exchange it for a Gen 2 drive, despite my argument that Gen 1 drives don't have the necessary TRIM feature. So HP was definitely shipping out Gen 1 SSDs as of July.
