I get the message "Driver Power State Failure" everytime I am running on battery power for around an hour or so.

I don't know what is causing it, but I've been fine until now. WHat drivers do I fix..? I can't seem to find a posting online that can help me.. so I'm hoping someone here will be able to.

Did you ever figure out what was causing the error message, did you get BSOD? I don't know if talking to HP tech support would fix the problem or doing a system restore? Hope you can get to the bottom of this issue.

It seems to have stopped after I re-installed a driver. I'll update this again if anything happens though. Otherwise, consider it fixed and it was a minor driver issue.

I've not had a single BSOD with my Envy 17 3D.

It's been running like a top since the day I unpacked it. The only issue was the keyboard skipping keystrokes, but the bios config parm for the function keys I changed seems to have solved that.

It seems that the ASUS Ai Charger for iPad that I installed was causing this issue.

I installed it because iPad 2's have the issue that they don't charge when plugged in, and that program helps it. It's working fine now - but I'll need to get an AC adapter to charge my iPad from now on.

My past two computers also wouldn't charge my iPad 2, so it's not an issue with the pc, it's a problem with the iPad.

I wonder if the iPad 2 is drawing too much current and the laptops' USB ports are unable to deal with it?

I have a Verizon USB 3G modem that's kinda like that.
Verizon shipped it with a special USB Y-cable that plugs into two laptop USB ports at the same time to double the amperage available to the modem.

Apparently it's a widespread problem with early iPad 2's, and that the Ai charger from asus helps it. I never got a BSOD caused by it before, from when I used it on my older computers, but doesn't really matter too much. I have an AC adapter.
