Picked up the new Sleekbook for $550 with the $50 rebate from Fry's with their price match. So far very Impressed with the build quality and gaming ability's for a so called Ultrabook! Two things I did right off the bat was to install another 4 gb of ram and upgrade the HD to a SSD Sandisk 240gb. The system has 1-4gb stick but needs the extra stick of ram to run in dual channel. The baseline windows scores was 4.8 5.9 5.3 6.3 5.9 when I did the upgrades my scores shot through the roof!

I have been playing Diablo 3 on default settings with no issues. The laptop gets warm but not hot.

I have the HP Pavilion m6 1035dx but will take it back to Best Buy the build quality is crap if you ask me. The keyboard is wavy and spongy, the plastic of the front of it scratches really easy and chips. The Sleekbook is a much better build quality.

I forgot to add if you change the HD out make sure to find a slim HD or take the foam pads out.

Well congratulate for your Sleekbook and glad to see impressed with the building quality. Surly good deal for the money, sounds much better than the new Dell XPS 14 Ultrabook for $1200.
Can you run 3DMark11? I'm really curios since it is a 17W APU...

I am also strongly considering this model, and upgrading with RAM/SSD is my plan to... however this is excatly what scares me here. As far as i know, you have to take the whole LCD screen apart prior to removing the bottom plate to access the parts. (At least according to the instructions of the 14" sister model.)

    How difficult was that?

It was really easy to remove the back plate. Take all the screws off and use a slim flat head screwdriver on the back seam. Slowly open it up from the back to the front and it pops right off. Really was one of the easier ones.

Wow, that's a relief! I thought removing the whole plate would not really be an issue, unless you manage to break off something. However, the 14" Intel Sleekbook manual said you cannot do that unless you took off and completely disassembled the LCD screen. Maybe the 14" has a slightly different construction.

So what brand of RAM and SSD did you get? RAM can be a b**ch when it comes to compatibility, so knowing what worked would help. :)

Yes, hopefully a moderator will see and replace to the correct topic ;).

Thanks, now I have complete 3DMark 11 results list of Trinity APUs:

    A6-4455M 17W: P571
    A6-4400M 35W: P720+
    A8-4500M 35W: P858
    A10-4655M 25W: P907
    A10-4600M 35W: P1150

Interesting the 25W part stronger than two of the 35W parts...

Not really that surprising, though. The 7620g (A10-4655m) may have a lower GPU clock than the 7520g (A6-4400m) and 7640g (A8-4500m), 360-497MHz compared to 497-686MHz, but it has 384 shader cores to 192 and 256. Just like you would expect, given the higher clock speed of the 7640g and more shaders of the 7620g, those two score fairly close.

Does the laptop take standard 9. 5mm ssd? Is the fan noisy during idle and as well as playing Diablo?

Does this laptop have an mSATA port? I've seen HP offers the Intel version with an mSSD so I'm wondering if they put the port on the AMD version.

EDIT: Is there anyway you can take some photos of the motherboard and other internals like the heatsink and fan?

I would appreciate that very much, Thanks!

Does this take a 7mm SSD or a 9mm one? Just got my A10 version up on overclock.net will post here later tonight. Hopefully 3DMark11 results will be up tonight hopefully

Yeah scores shoot through the roof when you use dual channel memory. My 4gb sick will be here hopefully Saturday.

It takes 7mm SSD or HDD.

Yes please, post your 3DMark11 score when you have the Dual-Channel memory ;).

Would someone please confirm the size of the DC plug on the power supply for the 6-1010us?

    Is it (perhaps) 4.8 x 1.7mm ?

    Or maybe 4.0 x 1.7mm? I've seen conflicting specs.

I installed an Intel 6235 wi-fi/bluetooth card (purchased from Amazon) in the 6-1010us and it seems to be fully working without any issues.

I expected that there could be issues with the whitelist or the fact the the 6-1010us uses an AMD chipset, but apparently there are no such issues.
