I had to do a clean Windows installation after my hard drive crashed. After a few days i noticed, that the LED next to the Webcam is always on, even if it's not in use and even if i deactivate it in windows device manager (i hope it was like that right after the clean install, but i'm not sure). It works fine in Skype etc., but since it's supposed to be alight only when it's in use, i think i'm missing a driver.
It's a HP Envy 13-1190eg with Windows 7 64Bit Home Premium and there is no real webcam-driver on the official website with driver-downloads ( Software & Driver Downloads HP Envy 13-1190eg Notebook PC | HP® Support). Only HP MediaSmart Webcam Software in two variations (Version:4.2.3303 and Version:4.1.3130). I didn't install it, because it seems to be some webcam-software for filters, borders etc.
Are there some real drivers, which will do the trick? Do i need the bloated HP software (and if so, which one of the two do i need)? Or should the LED only be on, when it's in use, even if i didn't install any additional drivers and does it probably indicate another problem?
    I'm getting a bit paranoid and i'm hoping it's just a driver problem :D
