    Hi

I bought HP Envy 14 (HP ENVY 14-1150ca) ,after one week when i install Skype i realize that camera is not working (!). I have fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bitwith update drivers form HP website.

I spend searching in google about 5-7h to find solution. What i did:

    1. I went to Device Manager, (there is no Imaging Devices section), looked under the Sound, Video, Game controllers and found Webcam Splitter (with a speaker icon next to it though), updated those drivers
I clicked Detect Hardware Changes everywhere in Device Manager - DIDN'T HELP

    2. Perform a hard reset:
Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards.
Disconnect the AC power adapter, remove the battery, and then press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
Reconnect the AC power adapter (but do not connect the battery), Press the Power button to start the PC.After booting back up into windows, check the device manager again and see if the webcam is listed. - DIDN'T HELP

    3. Push strongly the cover several times and when you hear the specific sound of an usb device connect/disconnect stop and try to see if the webcam works. - DIDN'T HELP

    4. I open laptop to check LCD and Camera connections on the motherboard and try to clean it. - DIDN'T HELP

I can't send laptop to HP service because i don't have guarantee. It is frustrating that there is no recommended fix for this after 2 yr.

Can any body help me   ?
