I just recieved my HP Envy 14 - 1210EB but the battery life in win 7 is only 1.15h max :s. I tried to tune the battery settings (faster dimm, less brightness, faster hdd slowdown,...) but that gained me about 5 min.

Is this a common problem? How can i improve battery life.

(When i'm on battery i don't game/use flash,psd,.. so i don't need my graphics card. But i haven't found a option to turn it of on battery)

    THX!

Battery life, as reported by windows, is not actual battery life.

search "envy 14 battery life log" there is a program called battery bar pro you can download but even it takes a while (about two weeks- a month) to get accurate because it's based on averages of your computers previous run times. read that thread and you'll be happy you did.

Try actually using the battery down and timing it.

If you want a more accurate projected time remaining, try batterybar and give it a few runs

hopefully HP will release a bios update that'll fix the issue with the latest run of envy 14s (1200 series). Until that happens you just have to time it manually or use battery bar for a few weeks/several full run downs.
