I have one of the original Envy 14 laptops with the ATI video card and eyefinity. I do a lot of programming for my major in school right now and the 14.5" isn't really cutting it anymore. Can I only run two monitors or can I run three?

    Thanks!

I don't recall if the ENVY 14 had DisplayPort, but you'd need that to have two external monitors attached and drive three displays. It has more bandwidth/throughput than HDMI, you have Eyefinity which is good and natively supports 3 displays, but you'd also need to have DisplayPort. And following that of course, you'd need two external displays that have a DisplayPort port!

I'm not 100% sure but I always thought that you could drive 2 external monitors 1 through HDMI and 1 through mDP and your laptop monitor. That would be 3 in total but only 2 external.
