    HP Envy 14 - a couple of questions

    Currently have a Dell Latitude E6400, with a 14.1" display.

    Is the Envy 14 (ie: a 14.5" display) noticeably larger than a 14.1"? I know it's only 0.4 of an inch but 15.6" seems noticably larger than older 15.4" displays.

    Second, I'm not sure I like the dimpled laser etching on the lid -is it really a series of mini craters as it looks on YouTube or is it more of a pattern than a texture? I think that might bug me...

    it's a texture. It hasn't really bothered me.


    and the screen will be noticeably wider (not taller) least it was for me.

    though I was going from a 15.4" 16:10 screen to this 14.5" 16:9 screen.

    I went form the dm4 14" and the Envy is and seem much larger over all.
