This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     HP Envy 14 1st gen. Mute FN key led perhaps gone?

    I think the red led on the mute function key is gone, or at least did not turn on when I mute the audio (and yes, the mute function is working).

    Question: can be a software problem? I don't remember if the led is controlled by the bios, the audio drivers or some HP tool. Any ideas?
