    Guys,

First, let me thank all of the members that posted into the forum about the Envy line of computers. I was in the market for a new do everything computer from school work to video editing to supervising a water department to listening to my music and I finally decided on HP Envy. I have owned two different HP's in the past with a DV9500 and DV7, but I was tired of the weight and heat, so I decided on the 14 with an I7, I am very pleased after two days of use. I have to say the build quality does not seem to be an issue up to this point, but I will keep an eye on it.

Secondly, when I was using my old DV9500 w/headphones I would get a constant feedback through the headphones and this problem pretty much meant I would not use any headphones with that computer. I was excited to finally (possibly) have a computer that would live up to some audio standards (through headphones). I have a whole home theater system built with B&W CM series speakers and I consider myself somewhat of a novice audiophile. I decided to look into the beats headphones with the purchase of a beats computer, but that ultimately lead me to the Bowers and Wilkins Headphones. Since I own the speakers and I know the quality I figured I would give them a shot.

I have to say that the combination of the Envy 14 Beats with the headphones is absolutely amazing. I do not know if you guys know much about the B&W Company, but they were a smaller speaker manufacturer that just started delving into consumer electronics on a smaller scale. I have to say that if anyone here is interested in some of the best sounding headphones on the market I would highly recommend that combination. The sound is not "bass" heavy like the beats headphones, but the all-around sound is something to behold. I do not want to wash the review with hz/khz type information that nobody cares about, but I figured there might be someone out there that is considering a headphone purchase with their new computer. I can tell you that you could not go wrong with the combination.

The headphones are $300 at many local high end audio shops. I do believe that the apple store carries them, but I try not to support that store as they tend to make me mad.

    Cheers,
    Chris Kampmann
