Is there anywhere I can buy a used or refurbished slim fit battery? I really need it seeing as I have a first gen i7 model, but I can't afford $200 for a battery. I don't see any used on eBay or anywhere, so I was wondering where I could get one for less than $200.

the i7 gets really bad battery life.. not sure why you'd even want to use that on battery power to be honest.

and used batteries will have part of their life drained, so i'd definitely go for a new battery.

sorry this isn't really answering your question, but i'd suggest either just ponying up the money (or just getting a slightly cheaper regular battery) or just trying to sell and get a first-gen i5 or sb envy. first-gen i7 battery life is abysmal :/

I noticed on HP.com when you are purchasing a new SB envy14, you can choose to include one replacement battery + the slim fit battery for only $140. I don't know if there is a way to get that deal without buying a new envy....but might be worth looking into.

I purchased a brand new battery on eBay ; only needed to bid it to $50.
Yes, its genuine. Bought it for when I am mobile (school) -- good life. Keep my original for when I am switching back/forth from AC power.

I have a spare internal battery for the envy 14 1st gen as well. I am thinking of letting it go as I do not use it (as I have a slice).

Originally bought it to bump the price to qualify for a coupon :)

whiteonline, I take it you're talking about the internal battery, and not the slice battery?
